How to add a text widget to your WordPress website

If you are using WordPress on your website you may be using widgets on part of the website and you may want to use the text widget that is built into WordPress in one of the widget areas on your website. If you want to add a text widget to your WordPress website

  1. From the WordPress admin left menu you can click on appearance > widgets
  2. The left part of the page has available widgets
  3. The right part of the page has the different widget areas in your theme
  4. You can click on the text widget on the left part of the page and then move it to the widget area you want to put it in on there
  5. When you edit the widget you can click the save button to save the widget
